Marquis Villas Resort

Please compare the Turtle Bay Resort Ocean Villas to the Beach Villas at Ko Olina on Oahu...?

As a follow up to my previous question, we now have it narrowed down to these 2 resorts. Which is the better choice for a family with young children and why? Are there any big differences in the landscape of the 2 areas? Which has nicer beaches? We want to be close to the beach (ground level), have a great pool for the kids and good restaurants. We also want to be away from the business of Waikiki. Thanks!!!

  1. It looks like you have it narrowed down, but I will suggest the Marriott at Ko Olina... http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/hnlko-marriotts-ko-olina-beach-club/ has a childrens program...amazing beach...amazing pools my uncle lives there and landscapes hotel pools for a living..so I have seen the best of the best.. but as for your choices..I would say Turtle Bay..they also have a kids program..I don't think you will find a bad beach around there..but both options are far enough away from the congestion of the city and waikiki..but are closer to different attractions..do you plan on going to pearl harbor? or the polynesian cultural center? That could also make a difference.. I can check further information for you or get prices, I am also a Travel Agent.. email me directly or visit http://www.kellystraveltrips.piczo.com
  2. Hi Eden's Mom! Hope I can help you. Both places are awesome facilities. Individually they probably provide what you are looking for and then some. The difference is their locations. Ko Olina or Paradise Cove is much closer to what you would expect to be "support comforts", i.e. shopping centers, freeways, bus lines, police/fire, etc. Turtle Bay is 'remote' for lack of a better word. It is where locals go to get away from it all so to speak. I love it there! I went there with my parents and it was so far from everything but has great disco like stuff, food, scenery....I found a big Japanese glass ball on the beach! You can't find those anywhere's now a days. If you want close proximity to city life, Ko Olina (hmmm, I'm not sure that's spelled right but I know what you mean). There is a great water world amusement thingie close by. If you want to get away from it all and still pamper your family....Turtle Bay is the best!
  3. Ko'olina trumps all. They have man-made private beaches and lagoons which are very clean, very well kept, and have very calm water (great for kids). Their staff is amazingly accomadating. You couldn't possibly have a bad time there. Turtle bay is OK but seems to be a vacation spot for geezers.
