Is it Unromantic to take your dog on your honeymoon?
If youre going to Mexico for your honeymoon and renting a secluded beach villa is it romantic to bring your dog (a Poodle with you?)You have no one to leave it with and you will be gone for 10 days...is it unromantic to bring it along?should you even bring the question up to your partner?

- Not if your wife is the dog.
- I don't think it's unromantic at all...it's not like a dog gets in the way of you doing whatever you want to do in the privacy of your own room. Unless you don't like the dog watching you... Tell your partner I guess. The only unromantic part about it may be cleaning up the dog's mess....
- uhh are you special?! your going on a honeymoon it means all things even if you have children get watch while you have your ooo lalal romantic time, do you want to worry about your dog going pee on the floor or worry about what your going to do next on your honeymoon. I take the second pic leave the dog with the inlaws and have fun! plus the dog wont be allowed in the home I bet because its a villa on the beach most dogs are not allowed on beaches because of there habits of what they leave behind.
- ii think it's very romantic...i love dogs though. depends too on how well behaved the dog is and if he'll give you alot of work. otherwise--you should get a petsitter or a friend or family member that you can trust.
- Not if she loves the dog and feels like it is part of the family. Bringing a child would really cramp my style!!
- HELL no. Not romantic at all.
- yes find a sitter you wouldnt take your kids would you
- i think it's fine, the dog is going to be part of you and your spouses life so might as well take it along.
- dogs are a responsiblility and you kinda wanna leave all worries and work and obligations behind on your honeymoon try a "doggy hotel?" they have those where you just pay to have your dog stay there and be fed and taken care of.
- For a honeymoon, yes, I think it would be very unromantic. I suggest you take it to a vet's office somewhere...when my family goes on long trips we take our dogs there to be kenneled until we get back...the dogs are well-taken care of and the prices for them to stay are generally low!
- Yes it is unromantic to bring your dog on your honeymoon. It's tell your significant other that they aren't as important as the dog that you can't just spend time with them that you have to have the dog with you. Would the place even allow you to have your dog there?
- A dog would be great. He will help keep things light and fun.
- yea it kinda is. Try to find a Doggy Daycare in your area or ask a neighbor to watch it for the time being.
- Yes I'd have to say it is unromantic. Try calling your vet and see if they have #'s for dog sitters. Or board the dog. It's not a great idea to get on an airplane w/ an animal. I looked into this a few years ago. They stick them with the luggage and it is VERY hot in there. Some airlines will not fly animals in the summer due to cruelty.
- Hey, if the two of you don't mind the dog being there when you.......um, get busy, then who cares? It may dampen the mood a little, but it's totally up to you.
- I don't think it's a question of "Romance"... You're not going to be in the Villa 100% of the time - You'll be out seeing things, doing activities, etc., so the dog will end up being alone either way (You can't bring it everywhere in Mexico, they are banned from most beaches in tourist areas). You're better off leaving the dog at home - Find it a nice "Dog Hotel", not all of them are bad.
- Don't bring your dog. He/she will get between you and your spouse in bed (acting in "protect" mode).
- Just bring some peanut butter hahaha
- If your partner loves the dog as much as you then it can be okay. it's not romantic when the dog is at the end of the bed watching you be romantic. some vet's offices do boarding and you can pay extra to have them play with you dog
- Since you two have probably already lived together OR done the deed, then really, who will mind? Bring the dog. If you're still a virgin though, leave the dog at home.
- itmight interfere with you "social agenda". but if that doesnt mean anything to you or the most specialist day of your lives then go ahead and bring the bitch (the dog).
- Yes it is very un romantic. Do not even bring the question up to your fiance, or partner. Don't say partner i always think of gay couples.
- not at ll.. dogs are mess makers specially when they are taken out provided that the dog is not well mannered.so its a bad idea to get ur dog to your honeymoon. instead try to hire a dogsitter or even leave it thoose who care your dogs most..
- Since you have no family or friends to watch the pootch you could opt for a kennel service. It may be a little pricey but worth it. My husband and I use it them when we go on vacation. I personally would not want to bring the dog. Remember you will probably be driving as well and that can get very bothersome traveling with a pet....having to stop and let it out for potty time and also if you want to stop at a resturaunt on your way their AND back its going to present a problem for you.You can look in the yellow pages under dog kennels. You should be able to find a reasonably priced kennel for your little pooch while your on your honeymoon. Congratulations and good luck!
- I wouldn't bring a dog on the honeymoon. It defeats the purpose of having a honeymoon in the first place and that is to have a romantic time with your new spouse. Find a good kennel.
- Of course this is less than romantic!Would you invite children on a honeymoon? Find a top notch boarding facility to care for your pooch. Why would you also risk taking your dog across the border where it could be stolen, lost or fall ill.Vet clinics also board! Sheesh... Special requirements are to be met even transporting animals across state lines.Hawaii quarantines animals for 6 months despite all current vaccines & health checks.
- Of course not. I would totally bring the pup along. And my partner would be 100% behind taking them too. Of course, our pups are crate trained, so they can go to bed at night with a KONG and leave us be til we get up the next morning. ;) If your partner isn't thrilled with the company of the dog on the honeymoon, I would have serious doubts as to if he/she was really a keeper! Any animals from before marriage become OUR animals afterwards. Period. Besides, one would hate to spend the whole time in Mexico inside the secluded beach villa. A dog will help get you out of the villa, onto the beach.
