How are the ski resorts in anchorage alaska?

I am thinking about going to University of Alaska Anchorage because I love to snowboard. Would I be able to snowboard everyday there? Are the resorts good? How close are they to the school? Tell me anything you know.

3. there aren't a lot of ski resorts. There are lots of Heli Skis Spots though
4. I went to high school with a guy from Alyeska, well he was a skier from Alyeska. He raved about it. Nothing in the East even compared to it as per him, which makes sense. Yes, I know I said he was a skier. The angst between the two really needs be given a rest, but that is another topic.
