Aside from Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch, are there other nice resorts on the outskirts of Vegas?
I have stayed on the strip many times and would like to stay somewhere else and get a different experience of Vegas. I am staying at the Winn for three nights in September for work, but my husband and I are coming down three nights ahead of time for pleasure. What other resorts are there, aside from the two listed above that have great pool areas, a casino and really good eating options. We essentially want to have it all in one spot, so we don't have to go anywhere.

- The Ritz Carlton Lake Las Vegas is in Henderson, 17 miles from the Strip. Everything I have heard about it is that it is amazing, and doesn't feel like you are in Vegas at all, yet it is very accessible. Check out their website listed below!
- The Hyatt lake mead is very nice. Also, Southpoint is on Las Vegas Blvd but its about 5-10 mins south of Mandalay Bay --And thats very nice as well.
- I actually enjoyed my stay at Silverton Lodge. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/silverton.html It's off the I-15 across from Southpoint
- I have some clients that always stay at the Ritz Lake Las Vegas. They love it. If you are a golfer, they have a good course. It is about a 20 minute drive from the strip. So, it is very accessible to all Vegas has to offer, but you don't have all of the lights. It is an upscale resort. There is also a Hyatt there. Go to lakelasvegas.com to check out these two properties.
- SouthPoint Casino on S Las Vegas Blvd/Silverado Ranch, Sunset Station at Sunset/US 95, Palms Hotel on Flamingo/Hugh Hef Drive.
- Check out the Rampart Casino at the Resort at Summerlin, which is in the area of Red Rock Resorts and next door to SunCoast Casino Hotel. Rampart is small but very nice! Rampart is located by Summerlin Parkway and Rampart. The link is www.rampartcasino.com 702.507.5900
- go to lake las vegas
